The Framingham Calculator is a risk assessment tool that uses data from the Framingham Heart Study to estimate 5 and 10 year risks for coronary heart disease. The tool is designed to estimate risk in adults 30 years and older who do not have heart disease or diabetes. This Calculator only focuses on coronary heart disease, not other heart or vascular diseases. The purpose of this calculator is to help you make informed decisions about your health and is not intended to be a substitute for professional medical advice or treatment.
The functions used in the Framingham Calculator were originally prepared by Ralph B. D'Agostino, Sr., Ph.D. and Lisa M. Sullivan, Ph.D., Boston University and The Framingham Heart Study and Daniel Levy, M.D., Framingham Heart Study, National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute.
